Must sees at Bolton Film Festival!

Are you heading to Bolton Film Festival? Not sure what you want to watch or do? No worries, we have you covered! We've picked out our must sees that we think you will love!

1. Doc 60-1

A varied collection of short films from traditional documentaries to the more experimental. There are films that cover a vast range of topics from sumo wrestling to technology to working in the arts as a black woman. You're bound to see something you haven't before and learn something you didn't think you would.

2. Opening Night

This is a chance to see the films that are bound to be the most talked about at the festival. Opening Night will showcase animated shorts, documentaries, films from the UK and some from further afield. There is even a film about a dream that a dog had…

This event will be the one to really kick off Bolton Film Festival with a red carpet drinks reception at 7.00pm and Films starting at 8.00pm.

3. Festival Formula

If you're a budding filmmaker then this is the talk for you. Get some insight in to how to have your work featured at film festivals far and wide, and how to cut down the number of rejection emails you get! What festivals are worth entering? What mistakes are you currently making? Find out what you can do so you have a better success rate at this talk.

4. Don't Look at the Finger: Hetain Patel

A talk with Hetain Patel about directing Don't Look at the Finger. This film explores culture, kung fu and sign language. If that wasn't enough to intrigue you Hetain is a Bolton bloke with multiple Ted Talks under his belt and is nominated for the Jarman award this year. This is guaranteed to be a great talk.

Does exactly what it says on the tin! The top picks from the organisers of Bolton Film Festival. This is split in to two parts, over two days.
